HELLO !!hahaha. forgive my madness 'cos im just excited about my new laptop. no more waiting till the cows come home just to get it up and running, no more frustrations while i wait for Word to load while it hangs, basically no more woes! :D
(and now i can send toh stuff without her comp rejecting cos its potential virus :X)
actually there is.
that is to get used to the whole new way of navigation around here. who would have thought that just to open the browser means clicking on the safari icon? ya im dumb i know. but hey, no one said mac operations were the same as windows. so im forgiven!
hahhahaa.
on a more serious note, final-terms are just around the corner!
and i havent started studying 'cos im sick (again!), meaning i obviously havent been in the best of moods to get my books out and do what the rest of the class has been doing since say... 2 weeks ago? this semester has been quite screwed up. the number of times ive skipped class is... unimaginable. just like now. but today is on the pretext of working on my research paper 'cos i really wanna try and get an A for it. never did i imagine that staying up the entire night to produce a 7 page draft without proper citations and arguments could get me a B+. im quite motivated by that. especially since it looks like esl408 is the only module im doing well in. im like failing the rest. oops.
cant wait for this semester to be over and get into the christmas spirit! hopefully can have a get-together with t04, see how everyone is doing; and maybe my babes for some gift exchange and just party! and of course, some christmas shopping! like get a lovely christmas tree and decorate it all nice and glittery. :)
well, as you can see, this is a long entry and it'll most probably be here to stay till the exams are over.
time to continue pokin' around the functions of this laptop before i start on my research paper!
later!

exam fevermy mum knows the exams are around the corner when i start to buy junk food as though its buy-1-get-2-free. i may not consume them at all but its nice to have them lying around in case the junkie monster in me awakens. still, even if i dont eat the tibits, im sure sandra (when she's feeling better) will help me out and finish them all before i can say "EXAMS!". hahaha.
i like studying but i hate deadlines.

once an ij girl, always an ij girl.just visited the ij website cos of an assignment and came to realise that quite a lot of teachers have left. teachers that taught me when i first entered or those who played a big role when i was practically living in school while studying for the Os. especially ms theodora tan, the principal. we were so close to her, evening study breaks were spent in her office watching "veggie tales". dont ask me why we were watching that instead of movies showing then, at least it provided entertainment.
it just brought back all the memories and that was one phase of my life that i totally enjoyed and had no regrets about. the motivation, the friendships established, even with teachers; we got away with almost everything. the hod room was practically open to us to walk in and out whenever we felt like it, of course after 6 when most teachers and students had left. when the teachers bought dinner or had meetings with finger-food, they would always bring us a portion and make us take breaks. of course, when we had food or bought liangteh from the shops behind the school, we would get extra for them cos they needed it more than us. we were literally there 7 days a week. we even took over the only male toilet because it was the nearest toilet from where we were, and male teachers couldnt do anything to us except get a shock and wait for us to be done.
i miss ij tremendously and i think i should make a trip back soon.
