a month's worth of updatesmay 23 - thebesties stay over.eden was back in town for 2 weeks, of which she stayed over for 3 nights. it was super fun kboxing and eating and just catching up. i cant wait for her to return again, and i hope it wont take another 4 years before she comes back for another holiday. (:
june 9 - mybro&lg's wedding at ritzcarlton. putting aside all the frustrations and annoyance and stress we all went through to make it happen, it was a truly amazing affair. it never really did hit me that my brother was gonna get married and what was to be expected afterall lg was always around, the only change was how she addressed my parents. but in my sleepy state when i saw my brother enter my room, all dressed up in his suit and looking all excited to go pick up his bride, at 5 in the morning, i felt a surge of happiness welling up inside me and was truly happy for him.
lg looked beautiful when she arrived and i guess its true what they say about a woman looking the most beautiful and radiant on her wedding day. nothing can beat that radiance glowing through her skin and her smile.
the dinner was almost perfect. even though i wasnt the one getting married. i had the privilege of having the most important people in my life come celebrate this happy occasion with me, from the ROM to the actual dinner. - nana, zting, yuting, lixian, colin, dom and chan. everyone of them looked gorgeous as they dressed up for the dinner (sorry to make some of you go shopping for new clothes just for the dinner!) haha and for once, i thought i looked quite nice in the dress and heels though i think the makeup was not that great. :) it was also great to see old friends and teachers from cj. too bad i didnt have time to go mingle and catch up with all of them. and the other pity was that all the rushing around meant forgetting to take pictures of how everyone looked all dressedup and different.
im just glad that its over and that everyone had a great time. (:
june 14 - the day of liberation.after the wedding was over, it was a mad rush of trying to juggle 1 group project, 1 presentation+report and 1 midterm that all fell on the same day. thank god the deadline for the report was postponed to this thursday so it was a slight reduction in the amount of work needed to be completed. but it was still rushrushrush and i hate it how it ends up causing tension amongst people. =\
the moment class ended at 5, i flew home and conked out for a good 4 hours.
june 15 - a date with zting.went out with her for some lunch and neoprints. our favourite past-time. all the time trying to make plans with nana to get everybody down at mindcafe before i bring zting down for an advanced birthday surprise. think she was truly surprised and that she had fun. (: thats what mattered!
june 16 - UBIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!the whole lot of us went down to ubin for zting's birthday chalet that her mum so nicely booked for us. had a yummy lunch before we went cycling and got caught in the rain, and were in a mad rush to get back to the room. played the most agitated and scheming monopoly (thanks to weixiang) in my life and the birthdaygirl was the ultimate winner (only cos she won scissorspaperstone).
the drizzle didnt stop us from our bbq and nana&chan came in the evening (thanks for the bazhang nanasan!!!) and we finished almost everything before going back to our room. a big fat cockroach caused quite a major stir among us as we all screamed and ran running out of the door. the night was spent playing games and listening to repeated explainations by colin of a game similar to Murderer but ultimately didnt work out cos we were short of players.
bedtime came and 6 of us managed to squeeze onto 2 beds after much arrangement, but when morning came. weixiang ended up on the floor and the 4 girls were halfway off the bed cos colin occupied the entire bed to himself after much turning and kicking during the night. and 27degreecelsius is really a little too warm when you have 6 people squeezing onto 2 beds. haha.

its starting to feel like im having holidays until the thought of school tmr bursts my bubble.

yumyum in my tumtum!! (: nana and i spent a bomb on lunch today. but it was worth every single penny if i may say so.
each mouthful brought a grin to our faces and a sigh of satisfaction as we wondered aloud how could food taste so darn good.
Crystal Jade Ginseng Chicken & BBQ is our new indulgence.
